PART 1 – GENERAL

1.01SUMMARY:
Manufacture motorized, manual and specialty window coverings.

1.02SUBMITTALS:
A. Product Data: Submit manufactures product literature indicating materials, finishes and installation instructions for each type of CSS shading system specified.

B. Shop Drawings: Indicate wiring diagrams for any electrical components of motorized shades, windows scheduled to receive shades and installation requirements for each shade.

1.03QUALITY ASSURANCE:
A qualified installer shall install the specified products.
All products are manufactured to the highest standards.

1.04WARRANTY:
Concord Shading Systems (CSS) shall warrant its motorized systems against defects and workmanship for five years from date of shipment. CSS shall warrant its control systems against defects for two years from date of shipment. More specific warranty terms are available from CSS.

PART 2 – PRODUCTS

2.01MANUFACTURER:

2.03COMPONENTS:
A. Motors: UL approved and CSA certified with built-in thermal overload protection and easy limit switch adjustments. Motors are concealed inside the roller tube and operate at a speed of 38 RPM (most motors).

B. Clutches: Bidirectional wrap spring mechanisms. Never require adjustment. Constructed of high strength fiberglass reinforced polyester with high carbon steel springs.

C. Rollers: Available in 1.25” dia. x .030 wall, 1.5” dia. x .065 wall, or 2” dia. x .080 wall, in extruded aluminum. 3” dia. aluminum available to accept optional sound reducing motor adapters. Roller assembly easily removable.

D. Mounting Brackets: Steel stamping plated. Available in 1 5/8” and 3”. Brackets do not require additional adapters.

F. Fascia/Headrail: CSS Universal Headrail available in white, ivory and clear anodized. 6063 aluminum.

2.04OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES

A. Fascia Mounting Brackets: Support both the roller tube and the fascia panel.

B. Fascia/Cassette Panel: Roller tube and mounting hardware to be completely concealed, providing a clean, finished look. 3” or 4” high fascia panel is .075” extruded aluminum. 3” fascia may only be used with clutch shades.

C. Back Cover: Shall be installed to completely cover the top and back sides of the shade roller. The 2” or 3” tall back cover is .085” extruded aluminum.

D. Side Channels: Shall be one piece 2 1/2” deep by 3/4” wide, .062” extruded aluminum with “T” slots to receive wool pile light seal on both leading edges

E. Hem Bar: Shall be a 1.375” x .375” aluminum extrusion with a spline groove to receive the fabric, a weight cavity and a “T” slot at the bottom for wool pile light seal. Black end caps will be furnished.

F. 3” Closure Flap: Shall be used in recessed applications where aluminum shade pocket is not necessary.

G. Sill Closure Angle: Shall be 3/4” x 3/4”. 0.062 extruded aluminum angle, which aids light seal along window sill.

2.05MOTORIZED CONTROL OPTIONS:
Individual remote or wall switch control, group control, timer control, comfort control. Remote controls available in infrared or radio signals.

2.06AVAILABLE SWITCHES:
DC Decorator Rocker Switch, Standard DC Switch, 5 Position DC Switches, Decorator AC Switches, Multi-Switch Command, Digital Keypad.

2.07FABRICS:
Fabrics available in cellular, pleated, and roller. Sunscreens available in openness factors ranging from 1% to 24%. Please contact us for samples and more information.

PART 3 – EXECUTION

3.01INSTALLATION: 
Install CSS shades in accordance with CSS's specifications, standards and procedures as detailed in installation instructions. Installation contractor to be responsible for site measurements and suitability of mounting surfaces.
